Living in the USA gives Americans the right to bear arms under restrictions in access to the firearms policy approved by Joe Biden himself. Gun violence is now a huge issue now in the USA, still the context of possessing guns is ingrained in the USA citizens. In this case, paintball guns are safer to hold, I think. That’s why I’m here to help you with some insights on what might be the best paintball gun for home security of yours.
But what is this ‘Paintball Gun’ ?
What came up in your head when you first heard the term ‘Paintball Gun’? A gun releasing paintballs at the speed of a fast-moving bullet, right?
Quite similarly, it’s an air gun equipped with compressed gas (CO2 or air) to shoot paintballs possessed by an individual. It’s often called a marker, the function of which is to get the paintball moving at a high rate of speed.
Is it legal to use a ‘Paintball Gun’?
One can legally purchase & use paintball guns for a significant LAWFUL purpose. If certain rules are satisfied, there’s no chance of face arrest or anything.
But what do the rules actually say? They state that you would be charged if
- If you are an inhabitant in one of the States and even if the attacker attacks you but doesn’t stir you up at all physically
- If you show no attempt to escape from the area
- If you are proven to act hostility, charges might get enacted on you.
- If you are proven to victimise someone doing bodily damage with anything, you could be arrested as using a weapon.
I kind of sorted them out, as they show relevance about the legality of possessing paintball guns. So before you settle down on what should be the best paintball gun for home security of yours, you must know these!
A Buying Guide for the best paintball gun for home security (What you should or shouldn’t)
- Where do you plan on playing? On private property or a commercial field?
Three basic type of markers are :
- Pump Paintball Guns
I think these guns to be the best guns for training ground as it requires certain skills to transcend boundaries like shooting up or manual fire. If you are seeking to enhance your shooting skills, you can take this one!
- Mechanical Paintball Guns
the most common ones in recreational play, as well as affordable too! Beginner friendly, mostly used in commercial shooting grounds to warm up the troops. If you are ready to challenge yourself, You can take a quick look at it
- Electronic Paintball Guns
Once expensive, but now the most affordable due to the very productivity of the business! You can smartly use the tools in need just like using a digital device. Sounds like a good option for the best paintball gun for home security of yours, doesn’t it?
- Where will you get your air tanks filled? Is both CO2 and Compressed Air available?
The answer is simple – your LOCAL PAINTBALL STORE and COMPETITION FIELD! To safely fill compressed air tanks, you can take a quick tour at your nearest shops or fields with your scratched gun. Many sporting goods stores have CO2 canisters too. But you might need to pay one to three dollars for every 1,000 psi, considering how much you are bound to refill.
But you need to make sure that –
- There’s not a drip of grease or oil on your filled tank. Otherwise, it’ll pave the way to the potential fire beyond your imagination
- Tank isn’t somewhere like under direct sunlight or beside a hot pumped up car
- Tank is covered with a fabric bag or something like that, as a tank cover
- Slow fill is safer to be followed

2. DPMS Full Auto SBR CO2-Powered BB Air Gun
Seeing this online-hyped behemoth, I ordered it months ago. But unfortunately the rusty speedloader malfunctioned at First. The feed shaft got stuck frequently. But the 4 extra magazines slide back while feeding in the BBs, quite unlikely to happen!
After contacting the vendor, they referred me to Crosman, then Crosman said to add a little bit of airgun oil. Then after a while it seemed to get fed. So now the speedloader works I can happily shoot this gun and it’s a lot of fun!

The harness slipped down. So I bought a vest for it.

4. T4E TPM 1.43 Caliber Training Pistol Paintball Gun Marker
My friend suggested me to buy one of these and in our NYC it felt legit to me according to the cost. At about 15 yards I took a shot that went wild but was fairly accurate. But for 10 yards and under, it’s sharp, targeted and more accurate. The CO2 last about 40 shots and the first shot off a fresh CO2 would pop one in the barrel. But it doesn’t come apart for easy cleaning.
I would recommend them to anyone who is eager to have one. Especially for the home security guys out there, it’s the best paintball gun for home security purposes I assume! Super fun to shoot at and user friendly to train people with. Can’t wait? Then buy it!
